There was activities and entertainment for all ages at Landguard Fort as steampunk came to town for Halloween.
It was Felixstowe’s first ever Steampunk Halloween Festival and organisers hope it will be staged again.
Despite some chilly weather and occasional showers, the event attracted lots of people keen to find out more about steampunk – the fusion of futuristic technology and Victorian fashion – and see the many attractions.
The weekend included curiosities and eccentricities and more than 20 performers and entertainers, including live music, street entertainers, Victorian magic shows, birds of prey, a huge display of Meccano, and tea duelling.
Children tried their hand at archery, and met Bob the steampunk dog and took part in the Pumpkin quiz trail.
Braver souls enjoyed a special evening event at Landguard Fort – the ‘Night of the Macabre’ with some Halloween chills and thrills exploring the monument’s dark tunnels and rooms with spooky lighting, smoke machines, strange characters and special effects, and also enjoyed a special cabaret show featuring the weird and wacky.
