Fireworks, walks, Christmas gifts and crafts, music, drama, and marking the centenary of the end of the First World War are among the many activities and events in Felixstowe.

Sunday, November 4

The 12th Annual Felixstowe Gift Fair is taking place from 10.15am to 3.30pm at The Brackenbury Sports Centre, High Road East, Felixstowe.

Up to 70 stalls will be selling a wide range of craft and gift stalls, including handmade items – a chance to get your Christmas shopping started.

Entry by donation. Light refreshments available. All funds raised will go to the 7th Felixstowe Scout group and East Anglian Air Ambulance.

Sunday, November 4

Latin American music and tangos will be among the pieces played at Music in Felixstowe’s Sunday concert at St Peter and St Paul Church, Church Road, Felixstowe, at 3pm. Tickets £14.

Sunday, November 4

Gates open at 4.30pm for the Felixstowe Firework Spectacular 2018 at The Goldstar Ground, Dellwood Avenue, home of Felixstowe and Walton United Football Club.

The evening – the 11th annual – will feature funfair, sideshows, ‘Night Flight’ aerial display team and ‘Fireflow’ Fire Show, and a Food village. The fireworks set to music start at 6.30pm.

Tickets on the gate: adults £8, children (under 16) £5. Under 5s free.

Monday, November 5

Trained Stepping Out in Suffolk volunteer walk leaders will be leading a One Life Suffolk morning walk around the Trimleys, setting off at 10.45am from Searson’s Farm car park, off Cordys Lane, Trimley St. Mary.

The walk will last around 90 minutes. Entry free – all welcome.

Monday, November 5

Find out more about the lives of those who served in the First World War in Felixstowe at a Poppy Trail and Exhibition at the Church of St Peter and St Paul, Church Road, Old Felixstowe.

The event runs until Saturday, November 17 from 10am to 4pm.

Guided Poppy Trail tours will take place on November 5, 6, 8, 10, 14 and 16 from the lych gate at 2pm.

Wednesday, November 7

Alan Lott presents his selection of ‘A Little Evening Music’ at Music to Enjoy at 7.30pm at the United Reformed Church Hall, Tomline Road, Felixstowe. Admission is £2.50, including refreshments.

Thursday, November 8 to Saturday. November 10

Felixstowe Art Group is holding a special exhibition and sale of paintings themed around Armistice at Felixstowe Library.

It will be open on Thursday from noon to 5pm, Friday 10am to 5pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm. All commission will be donated to the Royal British Legion.

Thursday, November 8

Expert Emma Jayne Robertson is running an evening of clay workshops at

Old Felixstowe Community Centre, Ferry Road, for people over 16, from beginners to experienced craft workers.

The evening runs from 6.30pm to pm and is a chance to learn a variety of different techniques and enjoy experimenting with colour and textures..

Thursday, November 8 to Saturday, November 10

According To Rumour, a witty farce by Robert Scott , is being presented by KAFPA (Kirton and Falkenham Performing Arts) for three nights at Kirton Church Hall, Church Lane, Kirton.

Curtain-up is at 7.30pm and the evening will include a light supper. Bring your own drinks (glasses provided). There will also be a raffle in aid of Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals Charity.

Friday, November 9

Ukulele group What no Cake? will be performing in concert, hosted by the Felixstowe Friends of St Elizabeth Hospice, at 3pm at Trinity Methodist Church, Hamilton Road, Felixstowe, followed by refreshments.

Tickets are £2.50 on the door.
