Plastic Free Felixstowe is hosting the event to highlight some of the problems associated with our consumption of plastic at the Canopy on The Triangle in Hamilton Road, Felixstowe, from 10am until 2pm.

A number of people will be on hand from the group to advise those visiting on how to reduce their plastic usage and generally become more environmentally friendly in their daily lives

Information about how to compost waste will be provided on the day with Master Composters, while Cupboard Love will showcase some of the plastic free alternatives available locally to help cut plastic waste.

Plastic Action Champions will be on hand to discuss how you can make sure plastic does not go into the oceans, while members of the Beach Bonkers team – who have been holding a series of beachcombing events at the resort this summer – will help people identify what should and what shouldn’t be found on our shores.

People can also play the Bin Bash game to see of they are an ace rubbish sorter, with the aim to see how quickly they can pick items from a box and ensure they go in the right place to be recycled.

Supporting the event are Green Print, Suffolk Coast & Heaths AONB, Suffolk Coastal council, and the East Suffolk Partnership.
